R. M. from Canada writes: Well, just when I thought we were resigning ourselves to an obliga 'tory' time of Conservative dark ages, the light has dawned on a new face in national politics and direction, I'm not sure where Mr. Kennedy stands on every issue, but I am thankful that he stood up to be counted. Instead of back to the future of a Harper majority, we may just have a future as Canadians in a Canada that is still worth fighting for.

Dennis Rice from St. John's, Canada writes: Gerard is the man to lead this party back to prosperity. He has both youthful enthusiasm and proven success, and doesn't reek of the opportunism of both Ignatieff and Rae. With Rae's proven failures, and the fact that he is still donating to the NDP, along with Ignatieff's questionable dedication to the party if he doesn't win the top job, how can people still be seriously considering these guys? It's as if they enjoy seeing the party in disarray.

Filipe Almeida from Viseu, writes: I believe Gerrard Kennedy will be Prime Minister of Canada and Leader of the Liberal Party one day. It is simply a matter of when. As of this moment he is my favourite candidate.

Sticks and Stones ... from Canada writes: A great read - very thoughtful answers that definitely resonate with my hopes and values. As I said previously, a very tough choice. Cetainly on the left of the spectrum and likely to garner some NDP support. Proven track record of dedicated hard work, motivating people and getting positive results. I would see him as being in serious contention. Would need to develop a national profile in a short period of time. Convention would give him a boost there. A very credible candidate.

Aaron Hynes from Ottawa, Canada writes: I see by the limited response that there is very little interest in Mr. Kennedy's candidacy. Having read his responses to questions, I understand why. Lots of words, and no substance at all.

Dennis Rice from St. John's, Canada writes: Interesting comment from Aaron Hynes: "Lots of words, and no substance at all." Aaron, isn't one of Kennedy's main supporters the man who beat you in the last federal campaign? Is this sour grapes?
