Soaring Canadian home prices should start to slow

The pace of house-price increases should ease next year because of an influx of new listings, returning the market to more “balanced” conditions, a real-estate company predicted Wednesday. Across Canada, the number of homes for sale is seen climbing, Re/Max said in its housing market outlook for 2007. Demand, meantime, should remain strong. The predictions come after average house prices have posted double-digit gains over the past few years.
