Call goes out to NATO allies
Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay appealed to other countries Thursday to provide greater military muscle to the anti-Taliban mission in southern Afghanistan.
"We cannot continue to do this without further support," Mr. MacKay told Ottawa-based ambassadors and other diplomats from NATO countries. Other NATO allies "need to come forward," he said.
