Convicted U.S. sex offender to serve probation in Canada
TORONTO — An American school teacher convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old student was believed to be on his way north Monday after a New York state court agreed to sentence him to three years' probation — in Canada.
Malcolm Watson, 35, was living with his wife and three children in the border city of Fort Erie, Ont., and commuting to his teaching job in Buffalo, N.Y.
