Can B.C. help save endangered caribou?
VANCOUVER — Colleen McCrory, an environmentalist who has spent most of the past decade fighting to protect Canada's last, dwindling herds of mountain caribou, was in shock yesterday as she tried to digest a government plan to save the species.
"This is a political document," said the director of Valhalla Wilderness Watch. "This isn't a scientific plan to save a threatened species. . . . It's a disaster.
