Alberta Tory leadership candidates split over gay marriage
RED DEER, ALTA. One of the main contenders to become the next Alberta premier says he would continue the province's fight against the federal same-sex marriage law.
“This is an issue that we do have to take a stand on. I don't believe the battle is over,” former cabinet minister Lyle Oberg told more than 600 people who packed a Tory leadership forum Wednesday night.
