There's no Quebec ‘nation'

The debate around the “Quebec nation” was on the wrong track from day one, for the simple reason that there is no such a thing as a Quebec nation. Apart from its meaning as a “sovereign country,” the word “nation” designates a people bound by history, language and territory.
