ACCESS 2007
Like Word and Excel, Access also has menu ribbons, which make finding commands easier, as well as a navigation pane. It has also improved integration with Access databases, Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint Servers SQL Server and other sources.
GROOVE 2007
Groove is a team collaboration environment that allows teams to synchronize work in customizable work spaces. Its best feature is that a customer or a partner can be allowed to follow the project and chip into the creative process. It also integrates with Microsoft Communicator, and supports 28 languages.
INFOPATH 2007
InfoPath is the name of the program that created forms for individuals or work teams, with a drag-and-drop interface. The results can be accessed through Outlook and exported to an Excel spreadsheet. It now includes support for information-rights management.
ONENOTE 2007
Like InfoPath, the integrated OneNote 2007 is designed to help manage information overload. With it, you can manage text, pictures, digital handwriting and audio and video recordings, information gathered in meetings, status updates, presentations, documents and typed or handwritten notes. It now has an improved search function. The idea here is that OneNote creates one "notebook" for all members of a team to use, with each team member being able to organize the information in a much more personalized manner.
PROJECT 2007
As its name suggests, Project offers a way to visualize the path a project is supposed to take, and to keep team members informed. It can also be used to create schedules, finances and team integration.
PUBLISHER 2007
Once considered a neat program for consumers wanting to create interesting graphical invitations, calendars and holiday greetings, Publisher was elevated to the level of a small-business tool with the release of Office 2003. With Office 2007, it is now being promoted as a tool for making marketing materials that allow companies to apply brand elements to templates. Integration with mail merge, catalogue merge and e-mail merge are enhanced to personalize publications for e-mail or print distribution. Like Word, it can also save documents in XPS and PDF formats.
