Bédard released into Canadian custody

Quebec — Olympic gold medallist Myriam Bédard was released from a U.S. jail Thursday into the custody of Canadian police who will bring her to Quebec City to face a charge of parental child abduction. A Quebec City police spokesman said Ms. Bédard will spend Thursday night in custody before her bail hearing on Friday morning. Ms. Bédard's lawyer John Pepper Jr.
