. Dabusan from Canada writes: I wanted to commend Joanne Saul and Samara Walbohm on sharing not only their bookstore's launch history but also their finances.
It's one thing to read about the challenges of birthing a business and another to really understand the dollars and cents of running an independent bookstore.
I believe the world is a richer place for the type of book curation that Type offers and with a new appreciation for the hard financial reality they face to be sustainable I'll seek to buy more books there (or perhaps some of those greater margin non-book items!).
