The underachievers: Flirting with disaster

It's Saturday night at Petit Campus, and the place is packed. About 300 people are crammed into the neon-lit Montreal dance club for a hard-core rock band with a very impolite name. Lead singer Damian Abraham, 27, is sweaty, and the young crowd is stoked. Blood and sweat trickle down Damian's face — the baseball cap can't protect against the beer bottle he has just cracked over his head.
