'Carbon tax' on gas, electricity urged for Canadians
Canadians would pay an extra 10 cents per litre at the gas pumps under a "climate protection plan" introduced Wednesday by environmental group Friends of the Earth Canada.
The plan, which was co-authored by Corporate Knights magazine, would set a carbon fee schedule, charging consumers extra for products and practices that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.
