Flaherty optimistic for chances of single regulator

NEW YORK — Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty says he believes now there's "substantial support" among provinces to move toward a common Canadian securities regulator and predicts discussions will ramp up this year. He said a big priority for him will be interprovincial co-operation on enforcement of securities law.
