Clock ticking on Montreal transit strike
MONTREAL The Quebec government moved Wednesday to slap a 48-hour deadline to end a labour dispute between Montreal's transit authority and striking unionized workers.
Labour Minister David Whissell announced the deadline, saying the dispute must be settled quickly to end paralysis on the streets and subway lines of Montreal.
