PM walks fine line between Europe and U.S.

Stephen Harper will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel today as he kicks off what experts say is a risky effort to bridge a gap between Europe and other polluting countries on a post-Kyoto deal to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions. The Prime Minister arrived in the German capital having pledged to act as a broker in getting a deal done among the G8 group of industrial countries and other major polluters, who meet in the resort town of Heiligendamm at the end of the week.
