Awaiting verdict, Black gains online support
CHICAGO — Hundreds of members of the Conrad Black Fan Club appear to be eagerly awaiting the verdict of a jury that has the power to send him to prison for life.
The former press baron was once duped into believing he had his own fan club in a stunt orchestrated by a satirical Canadian magazine. But it turns out he really does have one - and it had 428 members at last count.
