  1. Wet Back In Canada from Canada writes: The problem with the RCMP is that the RCMP is in a situation not unilke the Anglican and Catholic Churches where members engaged in criminal conduct and they higher ups turned a blind eye to preserve the image of their 'so-called' sacred institutions. There are members of the RCMP who have been engaging in criminal conduct and they are dammed scared that Mr. Elliott, who is not a member and who is not yet comprommised, is going to clean out the criminals in the organization and, possibly, bring them to justice.

there... there.... not to worry about the future little ones... as long as you do your work diligently... and pursue vigorously the investigations into each and ever rumour, and/or allegation, and/or suspicion of corruption and/or wrongdoing among the members of the Liberal party and especially their leader, and you keep entirely out of the way of all of the CPC members .... you will be well rewarded.

why do you think a snivelling servant, well connected to the harperists, was parachuted into the cush commish job?

clean up? yah ! just like mccarthy back in the 50's and south of the border...
  3. andrew macmillan from amherst,ns, Canada writes: It was good to see the new Commissioner of the RCMP wearing a large maple leaf as he was being sworn in. Hopefully that is a symbol that he look after the country first and the RCMP second.
  4. Gord Adams from Okanagan, Canada writes: Mr. Elliot will indeed have his hands full as the RCMP is an organization deeply averse to change and when it does make a change in direction, policy, or focus it does so at a snail's pace. In fact the RCMP reminds of the snails in the Shaw Cable commercials.

Current RCMP management may appear to be cooperative, but you can bet your last dollar they will do everything possible to thwart Mr. Elliot.

My advise to the RCMP is to quit whining and get on with the job.
  5. otmar zambo from Canada writes: I think that the RCMP needs a "Good house cleaning"! even better Alberta should get rid of the RCMP and have their own provincial police!
