  2. I Plum from True North Hockey, Canada writes: The real cherry experience is in Traverse City Michigan. Our family has been coming here through generations and there are no sweeter cherry pits to spit than those from a roadside stand in a place that spends a week celebrating the best fruit. By the way, some great side trips up the Peninsula on Lake Michigan to wine country, along with Interlochen (caught Dylan outdoors last week) and the Film Festival hosted by Michael Moore. Book it!
