Canadian NGO workers maintain a low profile

Whether travelling in unmarked sedans, donning the traditional
shalwar kameez or secretly planning itineraries, Canadian non-governmental organization workers in Afghanistan are opting for a low profile to ward off kidnappings.
Their approach seems to differ sharply from that of many Canadian business representatives who operate in the war-torn country and who rarely hesitate to hire armed bodyguards to escort them on their travels.
