  1. David Pulleyblank from Canada writes: Although this review is mostly accurate it fails in a couple of key points. First of all, because the E-510 image stabilization system is, like the Sony A100/700 and Pentax K10/K100, in the body, there is no need to purchase high priced special image stabilized lenses for each focal length range as there is with Nikon, Canon or Panasonic DSLR's. I can attest to having been able to get sharp images using the Zuiko 70-300 (35mm 140-600 mm equivalent) hand held at the full extension using this system - something that would not be possible without image stabilization. Also the 14-42 kit lense is actually a very good lense. Perhaps the reviewer mis-focused it - something that is easy to do if you do not fully understand how to use the 3 point auto-focussing system - which by the way, is also very good if used properly.
