Bre-X's Felderhof found not guilty

John Felderhof has been found not guilty of insider trading after selling $84-million of Bre-X Minerals Ltd. shares in 1996, before the world learned there was virtually no gold at Bre-X's Busang site in Indonesia.
Mr. Felderhof, former vice-chairman and chief geologist, was the only person to face charges in the Bre-X scandal, which saw investors lose $6-billion after tests in 1997 revealed core samples had been faked and Bre-X was the world's largest mining fraud.
