Our infatuation with forgiveness

There's at least one important word that dictionaries of North American English would do well to drop from their next editions. Not “repugnant” – an action may still be that. Not “disgusting,” “revolting,” “vile,” “sickening,” “hideous” or even “inexcusable.” But even where behaviour is all those things, it's no longer “unforgivable.” Take the case of Michael Vick.
