Driver who struck, killed officer loses licence for year

MILTON, ONT. — A Grimsby trucker who struck and killed an off-duty OPP officer who was riding a bike has been spared a jail sentence despite a long history of driving infractions. Instead, he will serve a two-year probation term and lose his driver's licence for a year.
