Paris skyline may be open to development

PARIS — French President Nicolas Sarkozy, not normally seen as a patron of the arts, called for new ideas yesterday to develop Paris over the coming decades and pledged to encourage "bold" thinking by architects. "The question for us is not to think about the next six months but the next century," Sarkozy said at a ceremony to open a new architectural heritage centre in Paris.
