Euro hits all-time high against U.S. dollar

LONDON — The euro hit an all time high versus a broadly weak dollar on Friday as investors dumped the greenback after the Federal Reserve's aggressive rate cut this week. The euro also hit a new record high on a trade-weighted basis with ECB policy makers maintaining a relatively hawkish stance in their rhetoric in contrast to the U.S. where further rate cuts are expected.
