Now to the topic at hand. This article was mistaken when it said that you could play 4 player coop on 1 console. The max is 2 players per console for coop and 4 for multiplayer.- Posted 23/09/07 at 4:44 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

The Flood were introduced in the first game for one thing. I'm not trying to be nickpicky, but if you are going to make a statement in a national, well respected newspaper, shouldn't it be right? Makes me wonder about what other, much more important pieces of news are way off.

That's true, they did have a rash of overheats at launch. They sell a special $30 fan that hooks onto the 360, but a $5 desktop fan pointed through to cooling grates does the job (my buddy put a thermocouple on the boards inside to prove it... those crazy EE's). I don't know anything about the quality of the PS3. But I do know that I can get 2 'economy' 360's with H3 for the price of a PS3 with 1 controller and no game. That being said I'll probably wait for the next price break on the 360 before jumping in. Enough people still play H2 online that it hasen't gotten old yet.- Posted 24/09/07 at 10:52 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Are you sure it's 4-player coop? Pretty sure Bungie online said the game would be 2-player coop like the other two, the only change being you could play the campaign with somebody over Xbox Live. Can you play coop campaign with 4 people on one Xbox? That would be super sweet. Steven Patterson from Canada writes: Cooperative play supports up to 4 players total, with up to 2 players per XBox. The Xboxes may be connected by either a local connection or by XBox Live. This can be in any combination; for instance, two consoles linked by cable, with one player each, could still play cooperatively with two other players over Live.
Multiplayer play supports up to 16 players total, with up to 4 players per XBox. It works the same way that Halo 2 does that way.
I've been following this game since announcement, and can't wait to play it tomorrow night. (It'd be tomorrow, but alas I can't miss a departmental meeting on Tuesday.)

I didn't play the second game very much.

I really enjoyed the first two Halo games, however I found one glaring flaw in both of them: extremely repetitive level designs. In terms of overheating 360's Microsoft has fixed the design flaw that was making them ovwerheat. New Xboxes without the overheating problem should be in stores now. In terms of graphics both consoles are aboout equal and it will ultimitely depend on which system you think has the better games.- Posted 24/09/07 at 4:08 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

The game is so wracked-up EBstores don't allow kids to play that thing. There is a reason why Bill Gates added 'X' in the front. Paul B...you seem to know a lot about a game for a system you think is for children. I personally have never played the Dead or Alive series...not a big fan of fighting games or volleyball games. But the only PC games I've ever gotten into are the Civilization IV games, Warcraft I, II & III and Starcraft.
