Afghan president seeks peace with Taliban after suicide bomb

KABUL, Afghanistan — In his most dramatic peace overture yet, Afghan President Hamid Karzai on Saturday offered to meet Taliban leader Mullah Omar and give militants a position in government. Mr. Karzai's offer came hours after a suicide bomber in army disguise attacked a military bus in Kabul, killing 30 people.
