Rwandan finds injustice in 'land of hope'

The sound of footsteps on the concrete floor outside Victor Ndihokubwayo's room stirred him from sleep. The 19-year-old, like many of his fellow Rwandans, had become a light sleeper over the years as mounting tensions between Hutus and Tutsis meant attacks could come at any hour. A Hutu classmate at his all-boys' boarding school in Kigali quietly entered his room and stepped toward his bed. He bent down and started to sharpen his machete on the ground.
