Tory misunderstood Ontarians' aspirations, anxieties
It's a disaster for John Tory, one of those once-in-a-generation flameouts in which a political leader snatches defeat from the jaws of possible victory. The governing Liberals were vulnerable to charges that they had broken too many promises but the Progressive Conservative Leader has let them get away.
