Study to track pollutants in pregnant women

In the largest survey of its kind undertaken in Canada, researchers plan to track chemical pollutants in about 2,000 pregnant women and their babies over the next five years to see what kind of industrial contaminants are in their bodies. Federal Health Minister Tony Clement announced the $3.9-million research study yesterday, which will involve scientists across the country taking samples from women who volunteer to participate.
