QLT puts itself up for sale, shares jump
VANCOUVER — Shares in QLT Inc. rose nine per cent early Wednesday after the drug company signalled it's for sale.
At the open on the Toronto stock market, QLT shares were up 35 cents at $4.23.
A special committee has been formed to review the firm's strategic alternatives in the wake of falling revenue and a weak stock price.
