Conservatives refuse to bend to provincial demands over seats

OTTAWA — Government House Leader Peter Van Loan is keeping his verbal jabs focused on the Ontario Premier - even as Quebec and Manitoba join the fight against the federal plan for adding seats to the House of Commons. Mr. Van Loan has repeatedly called Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty "the small man of Confederation" for arguing the plan will shortchange Ontario voters.
