U.S. border officials see jump in illegal entries from Canada

U.S. border officials in a remote Washington town have caught more people illegally crossing into the country from Canada in the last two months than they did in all of the previous 12 months. Eleven people were intercepted near the Danville, Wash., crossing since Oct. 1, said Lonnie Moore, supervisor of Border Patrol in Spokane. They caught 10 in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30. "It's an increase," Mr. Moore said.
