Doctors face tough decisions in isotope ‘fiasco'

OTTAWA, HALIFAX — The federal government is being accused of negligence and doctors say they are being forced to ration critical tests as the Canadian supply of much of the world's medical isotopes slows to a trickle. The Canadian Society of Nuclear Medicine warned yesterday that decisions about treatment are being deferred because of the shortage.
