Ottawa earns reluctant praise in Bali

NUSA DUA, INDONESIA — It may have been the loudest and longest ovation that a Canadian politician has received on the international stage in years. And it erupted not for what John Baird did, but for what he agreed to stop doing. The applause went on and on, filling the cavernous convention room in Bali where 190 countries were represented.
