Ottawa plans bill to protect consumers
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Stephen Harper says his government is preparing to introduce legislation to ensure that the food, health and consumer products purchased by Canadians are safe.
Mr. Harper told reporters at a Salvation Army toy depot in Ottawa Monday morning that he is concerned about the climbing number of product recalls issued in recent years.
