Our Christmas is the Grinch's Christmas

Among the contributions of Theodor Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss, we may count a singular modern noun. "Grinch," says the Oxford English Dictionary, is "a spoilsport or killjoy." The origin is one of Geisel's most-read works, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. This year marks the book's 50th anniversary.
