Way more than just smoke and mirrors

In a year of major art shifts, it feels like a Toronto moment. The launch of Canadian Art magazine's Vanity Fair-style Toronto issue, in December, was a radical, long overdue act of psychic mirroring. Looking through those glossy pages, I found myself reflecting on the contributions of the people pictured there – teachers, artists, critics, dealers, patrons. Toronto is big and deep.
