  2. Roop Misir from Toronto, Canada writes: If only the 'big' countries can stay out of others' affairs....
  3. allcanadian allamerican from the american sector of, Canada writes: Its all about the OIL, if these people were living in arid desert with fig trees and locusts as a primary agricultural product, no one would be trying to purge them from their home lands. Imagine if Kurds had beavers, timber and minerals, what a wonderful homeland they would have.
  4. Zando Lee from Vancouver, Canada writes: ....the black plague...oil....
  5. Yvonne Wackernagel from Woodville, Canada writes: Who gives them the right to take the oil wells at Kirkurk as their own? These belong to ALL the people of Iraq. These people have been causing trouble for 'ever' it seems because they think they should have a homeland of their own, so like some others I can think of, they would just steal some land and call it their own. Sadaam did a bad thing when he gassed them, but then maybe another strongman will come in and realize that that is the only way to settle the matter again. GREED, GREED.
  6. Matt Stiles from Santiago de Chile, Canada writes: Yvonne,

Do you have any historical background of Kurdistan? Or did you just get it mixed up with all the other 'stans'?

Kurdistan was an autonomous country until the Ottoman Turks took them over centuries ago. With the treaty of Versailes, the Brits, French and Americans carved up the entire region in a seemingly indescriminate manner and dispersed Kurdistan among four countries.

Of course the root causes for matters of current events are of no importance. Only recent memory. As such, Kurds are obviously terrorists.
  7. Kathleen Degelder from Tacoma USA, Canada writes: Sectarian ethnic violence will always continue and squabbling over land or oil or peanuts or whatever.
  8. Iain's Opinion from Canada writes: Face it people, no matter what is done now there will be violence. Major violence. Everybody wants their own 'homeland' and self rule, nobody wants to compromise and unfortunately, claims for territory can go back thousands of years. Wasn't that the rationale for Israel? So the Greeks and Italians could theoretically post a legit claim for their past territories...
  9. Chris E. from vancouver, Canada writes: "Everyone wants their own homeland"

Yet the multicultural enthusiasts would have us believe that every immigrant sheds that idea as soon as they get their Canadian passport.

Many immigrants to Canada do not want their homeland changed at all. They would be mortified at the suggestion. The homeland of Canadians is, however, open for colonization and appropriation by all the peoples of the world.

Takeover a neighborhood, establish a place of worship, and the homeland just gained a colony in Canada.
