Gaming's Year of the Boom

If you were going to choose a year to camp out in a cabin and survey the video-game scene, it would be hard to beat 2007. There was, across interactive entertainment, more of everything: great games, bad games, innovation, stagnation and sales. It was a year that saw games grow out of any narrow categorization, incorporating music, social play and online interaction to reach an increasingly diverse audience.
