St. Thomas University to lock out staff

FREDERICTON — The faculty association at the University of St. Thomas in Fredericton says it has been served notice that its members will be locked out later today after contract talks broke down last week. Association president Suzanne Dudziak said the lockout is an unprecedented moved as no other university in the Atlantic provinces has locked out its faculty before. Faculty at the school have been without a contract since July.
