  1. MK Euro 2008 Czechs..... from Canada writes: Soccer is no different...Personal Trainer,daily training etc...

    Hockey always had had more funding so the rural players made it all the way etc...You just drive through rural places with "10 houses" and they have signs there how many NHL-elers come from there...

    Canada has a huge advantage in its country size for natural resources and wealth,however a little bid of a disadvntage in travel...

    That's why both soccer and hockey should promote regional junior leagues that can be driven to on weekends etc...

    No pro clubs pay for the development,so the costs always end up with the parents.
