Let female skiers jump
From Tuesday's Globe and Mail
It may be that the International Olympic Committee fears squadrons of Eddie-the-Eagle-like ski jumpers in female form will embarrass the sport and the Olympics itself if it allows women to compete in Vancouver in 2010. But that seems unlikely, and not only because Coke-bottle lenses on ski jumpers are passé. (The lenses were the trademark of short-sighted Eddie Edwards when he competed so comically for Great Britain in 1988.
