Baichwal in the running for new awards
Manufactured Landscapes, Canadian documentarian Jennifer Baichwal's examination - through the eyes of Toronto photographer Edward Burtynsky - of the huge social and environmental costs of China's current industrial boom, is one of 15 features nominated as "outstanding non-fiction film" for the inaugural Nonfiction Filmmaking Awards, to be handed out in March in New York.
