VANOC chief leads with a quiet passion

VANCOUVER — On a hazy Friday evening in May of 1974, 19-year-old Siobhan Roice left her government office and headed out onto Dublin's bustling Talbot Street, her work for the week done. They were her last living moments. Seconds later, a car bomb exploded, killing Ms. Roice and 10 other passersby. It was one of four planted that day by the Ulster Volunteer Force. In all, 33 people died.
