Chavez cuts off crude sales to Exxon

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ratcheted up his battle with the world's biggest oil company, Exxon Mobil Corp., as state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela SA announced Tuesday it is suspending commercial relations with the U.S.-based giant. The company, known as PDVSA, said it has stopped exporting oil to Exxon, though the Chavez government softened its threat to end all crude shipments to the United States.
