Canadian in Egyptian prison could win appeal if he had money, lawyer says

HELWAN, EGYPT — Mohamed el-Attar, the Egyptian Canadian serving a 15-year sentence in a notorious Egyptian prison as a convicted spy, would likely win his freedom if there were anyone willing to pay to appeal his conviction, his former lawyer says.
