Records raise questions about Doucet testimony

Cheques and invoices unearthed by German authorities more than a decade ago appear to contradict the sworn testimony given this week by Fred Doucet, a former senior adviser in the prime minister's office during the Mulroney era. Appearing before the House of Commons ethics committee, Mr. Doucet testified on Tuesday that he didn't start working for German-Canadian businessman Karlheinz Schreiber until 1990, more than a year after Mr. Doucet stopped working for the government.
