Few flaming numbers stood out on Oscar's red carpet

This may be the shortest and simplest Oscar fashion story in history: Hollywood's stylists have decided to completely ignore the bright colours that exploded on spring runways in favour of plain, strapless, black dresses. After she was lambasted for her uppity remarks in The New York Times Magazine, uber-stylist Rachel Zoe has had her revenge on the fashion world. Paint it black, she said, and nearly all the leading ladies listened.
