  1. gianni pizzolato from St. Catharines, Canada writes: The Reform / Alliance / Conservatives were elected solely because the electorate was intent on punishing the Liberals for the sponsership scandal; and nothing more than that. They inherited a treasure trove left to them by an otherwise fiscally strong Liberal team with sound budgets. This idea that Canadians elected them because of anything else is folly. The only reason Harper is lodged at Sussex Dr. is due to a mistake made at the last Liberal leadership convention.
  2. NL_Expatriate www.nlfirst.ca from Canada writes: Stephen Harper the Girly man of CONfederation said, "There is no greater fraud than a promise not kept!"

ABC; Anything But Conservative! Even the BLOC!
  3. diane marie from calgary, Canada writes: As a very astute reader pointed out in the print edition's Letters to the Editor, the statement, "now is not the time to bribe the electorate," is a rather transparent statement of the opaque art of voter bribery. Freudian slip, or what - we await the right time to be bribed.
  4. John Ishmael from Brampton ON, Canada writes: The Liberals are not led by a Dion.

Indeed, he does not exist. He accepted the political DNA of Ignatief, a torture and invade Iraq advocate who was parachuted into Canada by a Pentagon dominated Carr Institute. As well, Dion ingested the political DNA of Rae, a failed pseudo-NDP whose main concern is to control Canada's fawning over Israel's occupation of Palestine.

Dion is a political alien. Let's hope that the NDP remain outside of the grasp of the monied political neo-cons.
  5. George Hall from Canada writes: This budget did nothing really for Canada...I am all for paying down the deficit...but this budget only increases disparity amongst Canadians which weakens our country.
The poor need to be lifted up so they can make a contribution....no recognition that the environment is an issue...in which Canada could have been a world leader
I think this budget shows the Conservatives are devoid of inspiration or vision....
